Optimo is the classic historic panama style. When the hats called panamas first reached North America and Europe, the soft, resilient palm straw precipitated a fashion revolution. The hats could be folded along the optimo crease and rolled to carry. Hence they were called optimo -- the best.  The Country Optimo is the classic styling in a practical hat with tight weave UPF50+ sun protection, open weave band for ventilation, and leather lace chincord for practical comfort. An interior elasticized moisture-wicking sweat band provides comfort and fit. Approximately 3 1/2 brim width.
